Birregurra Pharmacy offers a range of pharmacy services. This page has some of the services we offer at our pharmacy.
At Birregurra Pharmacy we can pack you an individual Webster-pack, which puts each of your medicines in a dose for each day of the week and time of the day. You know exactly what to take at breakfast, lunch, dinner and bedtime. It gives peace of mind to patients, relatives, carers and loved ones.
Birregurra Pharmacy is an NDSS Access Point.
We are proud to be able to offer the Birregurra and surrounding community easy access to blood glucose test strips, urine test strips, needles, syringes and insulin pump consumables to NDSS registrants.
Looking for an easier way to manage your workcover or TAC Claim?
At Birregurra Pharmacy, not only we can supply your medications, but also manage your pharmacy claim.
We are able to directly bill your insurance provider so that you can collect your medications with no out of pocket expenses.
This service allows you to leave your prescriptions in your own personal file at the pharmacy, which removes the stress of remembering your scripts! Our script on file service offers the convenience of your medications being readily available at a time that suits you. This service optimises medication safety and allowing for a more holistic and comprehensive healthcare experience.
When you need to take sick leave from work, most employers will require you to provide a certificate from a health professional, such as a medical certificate or Absence from Work certificate.
Birregurra Pharmacy can provide you with an Absence from Work certificate.
The Pharmacist will conduct a face-to-face consultation and will only issue a certificate if they are professionally qualified to assess the illness or injury; and if in their professional opinion you are unfit to work.
If the pharmacist is issuing a carer’s leave certificate, they may request a consultation with the ill or injured family/household member as well as the person requesting carer's leave. Where this is not practical, the pharmacist will use their own judgement to verify that carer’s leave is required.
Never lose a prescription again!
eScripts (electronic prescriptions) are available at Birregurra Pharmacy.
An eScript is a prescription generated electronically and sent to you by your doctor via email or SMS, allowing you to conveniently access your scripts from your smartphone or email.
My Script List (MySL) is an optional service which allows you and your chosen healthcare providers to connect to a list of all of your available prescriptions.
Once you have registered for MySL you are in control of which healthcare providers have ongoing or temporary (24hr) access to your prescription list.
To setup your MySL you will need to consent to the service in collaboration with either your doctor or pharmacist.
MySL helps you manage your prescriptions without the need for paper, SMS or email tokens
A free service offered by appointment only with the Pharmacist. It is very important for medicines to work properly that they are taken at the correct dose and times. Whenever medicines change is a time when it can be confusing as to what you need to take and when.
For instance, if you have recently come out of hospital, your medicines change or you are starting a new medicine ; we sit with you and go through each and every medicine you are on, explain what it does and how it may interact. We even take a look at any over the counter medicines you are taking to make sure you are getting the best health outcome. In order to be eligible for this free government funded service you need to have a current Medicare or Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) card, live at home in the community, be taking more than five (5) medicines per day, and not have had a medicines check/home medicines review in the last 12 months.
